Bling Bling

Yes, I did forget to post last night but its not that big of a deal. I was out playing basketball with some buddies and then hanging out with my mom after she grilled me a delicious steak. I love her more and more each and everyday.

A lot went on today, as I pulled weeds for a little more than three hours, and then mowed our lawn. So I got to spend a lot of time outside in the nice weather before it got too humid. Mom and Pop left a little while ago to go to Cleveland to visit my sister, and Green Bay got their Super Bowl XLV rings. You know. The usual.

Now let me tell you a little something about these rings. These things are HUGE. They weigh a quarter of a pound, the G in the center contains 13 diamonds, one for each NFL title dating back to 1929, and surrounding the entire crown there are an additional 92 diamonds-one for each year the Packers have been in existence. Talk about Super Bowl swag.

Yes, I did make the picture of Aaron Rodgers ring my profile picture on Facebook and no I'm not afraid to admit it. It may or may not also be the background of the blog. Just a rumor. These things are absolutely sweet, and unlike Terrelle Pryor and some other Buckeyes from years past, I don't think that the Packers players will be selling them for tatoos and cars. I mean they shouldn't, and if something comes out that they did do such an atrocious thing, I will probably jump off a bridge or something. Because these things are definitely something that need to be cherished. FOREVER.

On this date in history, something else happened that I really wish I was old enough to remember. 17 years ago to the day, O.J. Simpson ran helplessly from the cops in his unforgettable white bronco after being suspected for the murder of his wife. Like I said, I wish I wasn't 2 years old when all of this was going on because I think remembering more of it would make for a great story down the road for my kids. It would be titled "Step One to Not Ruining Your Life" by O.J. Simpson. But then again that would probably insinuate that he learned a lesson from the whole shenanigan episode, and I am not sure if that's the case. I wander what he's up to these days.

The Reds open against the Blue Jays tonight, in some more interleague play. Then the Bronx Bombers come to town Monday through Wednesday, and I can happily say that I have purchased a ticket for Monday night. I'm very very excited for it, let's go Reds!

Have a good weekend everyone, I'm gonna stop talking now because I have nothing else to say. Peace.

Eric Seger
