TRANSFORMERS

I put the title to this entry in all caps because that is how I feel right at the moment. I just got home from seeing the latest Transformers movie: Dark of the Moon. Dude it's so good. Almost too good. It is so good that I'm willing to say without hesitation that I would be willing to pay money to see it again in theatre. It's that good.

Now I realize that all of you are probably thinking that I am saying this because I'm a guy and the stereotypical guy likes hot girls, explosions, and alien robots. I'm not going to go against any of these claims by any means, but there was just something about this movie that separated it from the others. I'm not a movie critic, but I liked the fact that they god rid of Megan Fox, who yes I know is very attractive but I think was holding the movies back and they replaced her with someone who is sexier, and more comfortable being on screen. And sexier.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was someone who I had never heard of before this movie, and going into it all I knew was that she is a British model who was at the top of Maxim's Top 100 list. Knowing that, I generally thought that she would just be a pretty face who was there to make Shia LaBeouf look better (not that he's a bad looking guy-no homo) and take the place of Fox. In my personal opinion she performed admirably, and even took part in helping the humans/Autobots win in the end by helping piss Megatron off so he would destroy Sentinel Prime. Of course she was wonderful to look at, with a seemingly perfect body and great hair and she also provided the zest needed to keep everyone (or at least guys) even more interested in the 2 hour 30+ minute movie.

The explosions were of course the best part of the movie, and despite what everyone always says about these movies, I think they're hilarious. It is a bit of a dry humor, which is probably why I get it and think that its hysterical because that's what I'm all about. Numerous of characters all have a bunch of one liners, just like the first two movies. But in my opinion I think that the one liners in this film were all timed perfectly.

Now I'm probably just saying all of these because I'm on a Transformers high right now having just gotten back from seeing it. But I did enjoy every minute of it, and it was surely worth my $8. I loved seeing it in theatre as well, which is probably why I'm all about it. But for those of you who have not seen the movie yet, I highly recommend it.

Oh and the Reds lost to the Cardinals again tonight. But hey, at least they scored one run. That's one more run than they scored last night. Stay hot guys, stay hot. Man, maybe once in my lifetime they'll figure out how to beat those bastards.

Proud Buckeye who is geeking about the new Transformers movie,
