A Pesky Predicament
After about a three week hiatus that finished out my Christmas break and began the year 2012, I finally thought of something that I really want to write to you all about.
The last week has been engulfed with classes and a new schedule signaling the beginning of a new quarter. I must say that I am looking forward to this quarter quite a bit due to a bit lighter of a course load as well as the simple fact that it is basketball season. Although classes are still classes, I think I'll be willing to deal with it all a bit better because I'll have basketball games both to attend and to watch on television, in addition to being able to play a bit of club and intramural ball. Life is good from that aspect.
Aside from it making me a happier man because it is indeed my favorite sport, the game is causing a bit of a predicament for this upcoming Sunday.
The Buckeye basketball team (I'm not going to get into the performance that the Buckeye football team pained us with-you all should know why) plays in a big time top ten Big Ten showdown with Indiana looking to avenge their second loss of the season. Tip is at 4:30 pm EST and I couldn't be more excited about it. Except for the fact that Green Bay plays at literally the exact same time against the New York Giants. I am struggling to make a decision about whether or not to skip the Buckeye game and watch my team, or go to the game and if either it or the Packer game gets out of the game (that be that they are trailing) leave to come home and watch it.
After sleeping on it for a night, I think that what I have decided to do is attend the Buckeye game, donning both my Aaron Rodgers jersey and cheesehead as well as my BuckNuts pants. Yes, I'm aware that I will not match in any sense of the word, but because of my fandom I am not afraid to say that I do not care. Nor will it matter to me if you judge me. I'm just hella pumped that I will get to watch my favorite NFL team hopefully beat the Giants.
That's really all I wanted to talk about this eve, because I both have basketball practice in an hour and the national championship is on TV. Even though I really do not care about this game because it is essentially an SEC championship game over again. But then again wait, LSU is the SEC champs. Alabama is not. But they still get to play in the title game. Makes sense.
