So I know that all of my recent posts have essentially been me bitching about how much my job sucks, so I promise you that this time won't be similar to that. It does suck a lot, but luckily I did not have to clean tonight so I got off at ten o'clock, which was nice. My sister is supposedly coming home tonight too so it will be nice to spend some time with her. And hey, I even get to watch some of the Reds, because their game went into extra innings. I'm really not sure why I even care anymore about them, seeing as how they just got swept in a four games series at home against the Mets and just don't seem to have that fire and excitement to them like they did last year. Dad told me today that after their lost yesterday Miguel Cairo, the cagey vet that I love and the Reds are lucky to have on their team, apparently got very upset and called out the team in the clubhouse. As much as I'd like to say that I went out for my birthday on Monday night and got obscenely wasted with my friends, I cannot for the sole reason of a place called Meijer Distribution Center. As you all remember from my last post, I did have to work on my birthday, and of course it had to be a long day and I did not get home until about 11 pm. This gave me an hour or so that I was able to enjoy my birthday night, and unlike some people I know, I did not get to go out and enjoy it. A few of my friends and family members have told me that their 21st birthday was not as good as their 20th, for various reasons but I am not able to say that I am one of them. And contrary to popular belief, being 20 years old feels the exact same as being 19. Big shocker, I know. As the day after my birthday progressed, a good friend of mine who I met at school came to visit me and spend some time. It's been a while since I've been on here and I know it seems like I almost always say something to that effect, but just like last time I'm going to say nothing was really going on in my life that was too exciting until today. And that is because 20 years ago today I was brought to this crazy place they call Earth, only thirteen days late at that. My mother has told me multiple times how awful I made the last bit of the pregnancy complete hell for the simple fact that it was blazing hot in the summer of 1991 and I was content with staying in the womb. I have apologized endlessly to her about this, citing the fact that I was very young and was having a good time in there and was afraid of the outside world. But my favorite part of the story is how Dad decided that it was time to "get the kid out of her" because it was so flippin' hot outside and Mom was miserable. So it's been a while since I've posted, and the only excuse that I have regarding why I haven't done anything about it is because nothing really exciting has happened that I felt was worthy of me talking about. My life has become repetitive, and even though I knew it was going to become like this, it really is getting old. Work sucks, especially last night because we had an hour and a half meeting before work began so that set everything back, and I did not leave the complex until 11:30. The meeting was about how we are switching to some sort of a points system that is based upon work performance as well as attendance. The system will not begin until September 1st, so I'm not really worried about it too much because I'm not planning on being there too much into September before I go back to school. So I know what summers in Ohio are all about, I mean I have lived here my entire life. They start off with much promise (in terms of weather) with nice day after nice day basically making everyone at home be forced outside. The weather is so beautiful that it's as if the man upstairs is saying, "If you don't do something outside, shame on you. Shame on you." Then comes late June, July, and August and along with it more heat than anyone wants to deal with. We are at that point right now in the year 2011, and the middle of July heat has not disappointed. The Weather Channel has said that it's only in the low to mid-90s temperature wise, and everyone knows that this is most likely true but also know that it does not feel like it for one reason and one reason only: the humidity. So my last post was naturally all about Harry Potter, and with good reason. I was about to go see the final installment of the movie series, and I haven't been back on here since that night. I was originally a little hesitant to go see the movie at the midnight showing, for the sole fact that I know I was going to be exhausted from work that day and then had to go to work the following day. But it was worth it. The movie was amazing, and I cannot help buy give it an A in my book. They seemingly followed the book right up to the end, with the Epilogue being 19 years in the future when Harry and Ginny got married as well as Ron and Hermione. The special effects were naturally really well done, which was expected because of the way technology is these days. I enjoyed every minute of it, and the fact that I got home and to bed at 3 am makes it that much better. Living the dream. As a part of my last post, stage one of things to look forward to is tonight. That of course being Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 opening at midnight Eastern Standard Time. I'm uber pumped, because not only did I get off work early I've been thinking about the film all day. My day began with the usual TV and cereal, and when I turned it on it was one CBS, and low and behold, there was Harry Potter himself. Regis and Kelly were interviewing him on their talk show, and I couldn't help but get excited. I only caught the tail end of the interview, but Daniel Radcliffe did say that he is extremely excited for the premiere, for the sole fact that he thinks they "finally got it right." By that, he meant that he thinks that they finally followed the book perfectly and did everything the best that they could. I can't wait to see if he is indeed right, I only hope I can stay awake as it will be the wee hours of the morning when I get to bed. I do have to w...
